ANALYTICS SERVICES

Google Analytics

Comasia Limited uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (Google). Google Analytics uses "cookies” which are saved on your device to help the websites analyse how users use them. This cookie-based information on how you use the websites is then sent to a Google server in the USA where it is stored. However, if IP anonymisation is enabled on the websites, your IP address is first truncated by Google within the member states of the European Union and other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Google uses this information on behalf of Comasia Limited to evaluate your use of the websites, to compile reports on website activities and to provide Comasia Limited with further services associated with the use of the websites and the Internet.

The IP address sent by Google Analytics from your browser will not be combined with any other data by Google.

You may prevent cookies from being saved by making the appropriate setting in your browser. In this case, however, you may not be able to use all functions of the Comasia trade show websites in full. The websites of Comasia Limited use Google Analytics with the extension "anonymizeIp()". IP addresses are then further processed in truncated form, thereby preventing personal identification. If the data collected about you contains a personal reference to you, it will be excluded immediately and the personal data deleted at once.

Comasia Limited uses Google Analytics to analyse and regularly improve the use of our websites. The statistics thus obtained help Comasia Limited to improve the service it offers and make it more interesting for you as a user. In the exceptional cases in which personal data is transferred to the USA, Google is regulated by the EU-US Privacy Shield, http://www.privacy-shield.gov/EU-US-Framework. The Comasia trade show websites also use Google Analytics for device-independent analysis of visitor flows. This is carried out on the basis of a user ID. You can disable the cross-device analysis of your usage in your customer account under "My data", "Personal data".

Google-Re/Marketing-Services

Comasia Limited uses the marketing and remarketing services ("Google Marketing Services") of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"), on the basis of its legitimate interest, i.e. interest in analysis, optimisation and economic operation of its websites as defined in Article 6 para. 1 sentence 1 f GDPR.

Google is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus guarantees compliance with European data protection law https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active.

The Google marketing services allow Comasia Limited to display advertisements for and on its websites in a more targeted manner in order to present users only with advertisements that potentially correspond to their interests. In cases in which users are shown e.g. ads for products they have shown an interest in on other websites, this is referred to as "remarketing". Google executes a Google code for this when users call up websites on which Google marketing services are active, and remarketing tags (invisible graphics or codes) are integrated into the website. With their help, an individual cookie is stored on the user's device or comparable technologies are used. Cookies can be set by various domains, including google.com, doubleclick.net, invitemedia.com, admeld.com, googlesyndication.com or googleadservices.com. This file records which websites the user has visited, which content s/he is interested in and which offerings s/he has clicked on. Furthermore, technical information is collected about the browser and operating system, linking websites, time of visit as well as further information about the use of the website. The users’ IP addresses are also recorded: Comasia Limited, within the framework of Google Analytics, indicates that the IP address must be truncated within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area and only in exceptional cases transferred in full to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. The IP address is not combined with the user's data within other Google services. Google may also link the above information to similar information from other sources. If the user then visits other websites, ads can be displayed which are tailored to his/her interests.

Users' data is processed in pseudonymised form within Google marketing services. This means that Google does not store and process e.g. the names or e-mail addresses of users, but processes the relevant data in relation to the cookies within pseudonymised user profiles. This means that, from Google's point of view, the ads are not managed and displayed for a specific person, but for the cookie holder, regardless of who this cookie holder is. This does not apply if a user has expressly permitted Google to process the data in non-pseudonymised form. The information collected by Google marketing services about users is transmitted to Google and stored on Google's servers in the USA.

One of the Google marketing services used by Comasia Limited is the online advertising program "Google AdWords". Each AdWords customer receives his or her own "conversion cookie". This prevents cookies from being traced via the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected by the cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. AdWords customers see the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they will not receive any information that personally identifies users.

Comasia Limited can integrate third-party advertisements on the basis of the Google marketing service "AdSense". AdSense uses cookies to enable Google and its partner websites to place ads based on users' visits to these or other websites on the Internet.

Furthermore, Comasia Limited can use the "Google Tag Manager" to integrate and manage Google analysis and marketing services into the website.

Facebook Pixel, Custom Audiences und Facebook Conversion

On the basis of legitimate interest in, and for the purposes of, the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of the websites, the so-called "Facebook Pixel" of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or, if you are based in the EU, Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Facebook"), is used within the websites of Comasia Limited.

Facebook is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus guarantees compliance with European data protection law

With the help of the Facebook Pixel, Facebook is able to determine the visitors of the website as a target group for the presentation of ads (so-called "Facebook ads"). Accordingly, Comasia Limited uses the Facebook Pixel to display the Facebook ads only to Facebook users who have also shown an interest in the website or who have certain characteristics (e.g. interest in certain topics or products as determined on the basis of the websites visited) that Comasia Limited transmits to Facebook (so-called "custom audiences"). The Facebook Pixel also ensures that the Facebook ads correspond to the potential interest of the users and are not a source of annoyance. Comasia Limited can also use the Facebook Pixel to monitor the effectiveness of Facebook advertisements for statistical and market research purposes by seeing whether users have been redirected to a website after clicking on a Facebook advertisement (so-called "conversion").

You can object to data collection by the Facebook Pixel and use of your data to display Facebook ads. The settings are platform-independent, i.e. they are applied to all devices, such as desktop computers or mobile devices.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Use of social media plug-ins

Comasia Limited uses the following social media plug-ins: [Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Xing, T3N, LinkedIn, Flattr]. Comasia Limited uses the two-click solution. This means that when you visit the Comasia trade show websites, no personal data is initially passed on to the providers of the plug-ins. The provider of the plug-in is recognisable from the marking on the box above its initial letter or from the logo. Comasia Limited allows you to communicate directly with the provider of the plug-in via the button. Only if you click on the marked field to enable it will the plug-in provider be informed that you have accessed the corresponding Comasia trade show website. The data specified in this declaration is also transmitted. In the case of Facebook and Xing, the IP address is anonymised immediately after collection, according to the respective providers in Germany. By activating the plug-in, you transfer your personal data to the respective plug-in provider, where it is stored (in the USA for US providers). Comasia Limited has no influence over the data collected and the data processing processes, nor is Comasia Limited aware of the full extent of data collection, the purposes of the processing or the storage periods. Comasia Limited also has no information regarding the deletion of the data collected by the plug-in provider.

The plug-in provider stores the data collected about you in the form of user profiles and uses these for advertising and market research purposes and/or for tailoring the design of its website. Such evaluations are conducted above all for the presentation of tailored advertising (including for users who are not logged in) and in order to inform other social network users about your activities on the websites. You have a right to withdraw consent for the creation of such user profiles; to do so you must contact the respective plug-in provider. Through the plug-ins Comasia Limited allows you to interact with social networks and other users; this enables us to improve the service Comasia Limited provides and make it more interesting for you as a user. The legal basis for use of the plug-ins is Article 6 para sentence 1 Satz1. f GDPR.

The data is forwarded regardless of whether or not you have an account with the plug-in provider and are logged in there. If you are logged in with the plug-in provider, the data Comasia Limited collects from you is assigned directly to your account with the plug-in provider. If you click the activated button and, e.g., link to the page, the plug-in provider also stores this information in your user account and shares it publicly with your contacts. Comasia Limited recommends that you log out regularly after using a social network, especially before activating the button, as you can then avoid being assigned to your profile with the plug-in provider.

Comasia Limited uses Google Maps on its websites. This enables Comasia Limited to display interactive maps directly on the website and gives you the convenience of using the map function.

How is your information used?

Personally identifiable information is information that identifies you as an individual: your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address. This information may apply to you personally or to your workplace.

Matchmaking uses your information to match you with other people and companies that match your criteria and participate in events for which you have registered.

Information we receive from third parties

Your personally identifiable information may come from information provided to us by third parties such as an event, exhibition or conference management company. Your personal data will only be used in connection with the event from which the data originates. In most cases, your profile information will be generated from the answers you provided when registering for an event, or from the information you posted in the exhibition catalogue / on the showcase website.

Updating your personal information

Matchmaking contains a 'Manage your profile' page in your user account. Here you can update all information we store about you. If you have problems accessing the system, please contact us at [email protected].

Information sharing

Matchmaking will ONLY share your information with the organisers of the event. Any changes in your personal or demographic information may be forwarded to the organisers and their registration systems to maintain data consistency and accuracy.

Confirmed contacts will receive your contact details shortly before the show in order to be able to contact you during the event.

Use of cookies

Matchmaking uses cookies to improve the user experience and tailor content to the individual user.

Matchmaking also uses cookies to track how users make use of our website. The tracking of cookies stores user information that cannot be identified, such as country of origin, type of Internet connection and pages visited on the website.

Users can disable cookies in their Internet browser. However, this may limit the visitor experience of our website. For more information on managing cookies, please refer to your browser's help pages.
